Counselling for Young People

At The ACE Academy, we understand that every young person is unique, and so is the way they express, process, and overcome emotional challenges. That’s why our counselling services are flexible, creative, and tailored to meet each individual’s needs.

Counselling for young people is a safe, confidential space where they can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a trained professional. It’s not just about sitting in a room and talking, though that’s one powerful option. Our approach includes:

  • Formal one-to-one sessions in a quiet, private setting
  • Therapeutic recreation, such as art, music, or play-based activities
  • Talking therapy outdoors, using nature as a calming and grounding environment
  • Solution-focused and strengths-based approaches that build confidence and resilience

Counselling can support young people with a wide range of emotional and behavioural challenges, including:

  • Anxiety, low mood, or depression
  • Emotional dysregulation and anger
  • Low self-esteem or confidence
  • Grief, loss, or family breakdown
  • Social difficulties or bullying
  • Challenges related to SEND, ADHD, or neurodiversity
  • School-related stress, anxiety or academic pressure
